Victor Zapata is an Argentine professional footballer who plays in the midfield. Zapata began his career with the youth team at Argentinos Juniors, a club famous for producing big name stars. A year later, Zapata was at another big name, River Plate, where in his first four years, he won four consecutive league titles with the club.
In 2003, he decided to ply his trade in Spain and joined Real Valladolid but to his dismay, the team was relegated at the end of the season and Zapata was back in Argentina, with River. In 2007, River refused to extend his contract and on a free transfer, Zapata went to Velez Sarsfield.
