Gabriel Penalba

For a midfielder, a 193cm frame may seem a bit daunting and quite unlike the usual shorter, swifter, and more agile Argentine midfielders, but Gabriel Penalba has proven that his height is one of his biggest advantages. Starting in the 2005-06 seasons at his home town club of Quilmes, Penalba played the entire season and had 33 caps. He moved to Italy to play in the Serie A with Cagliari Calcio however, the he stayed out of the side for most of the time, playing just three games. In 2007, he returned to Argentina to play with Argentinos Juniors and soon became a regular fixture in the lineup, scoring 3 goals in the process.
