Christian Maggio

Christian Maggio is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Napoli. He is a versatile footballer who can feature either as a winger or as a right-back.

Maggio started his professional club football career at Italian side Vicenza in 2000 and played for them for three seasons, scoring two goals in 37 league matches. He then moved to Fiorentina and played for them until 2006, scoring twice in 56 league matches and establishing himself as a very versatile footballer.

After a short stint with Treviso, Maggio was signed by Sampdoria in 2006 and he played regular for them for two seasons, scoring 11 Italian Serie A matches.

In 2008 Maggio was signed by Napoli and has since made over 150 appearances for the Naples outfit, establishing himself as one of the most important players in the team.

Maggio nearly made it to the Italian national squad for the Euro 2008 finals. He was called up to the Italian national squad for matches against Bulgaria and Montenegro in October 2008 and played for his at the Euro 2012 finals.
