Juan Manuel Vargas is a Peruvian international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Fiorentina. He plays as a left back or as a left winger and is famous for his dribbling skills and shooting abilities.
Juan Vargas started his professional club football career at Peruvian side Universitario de Deportes in 2002 and scored 8 goals in 69 impressive league matches in two seasons. He then moved to Argentine side Colon de Santa Fe in 2005 and scored 6 goals in 53 league matches for them.
In August 2006 Vargas moved to Italy on a four-year contract with Catania and scored 7 goals in 65 league matches in two seasons for them, scoring his first goal for the club on October 31,2007 against Siena. He was hugely impressive at Catania and was one of the most entertaining players for the side.
