Gianluca Comotto

Gianluca Comotto is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Fiorentina. He plays as a right back.

Gianluca Comotto started his professional club football career at little known Italian side Ivrea in 1994 in the Italian Serie D and after two seasons moved to Biellese in 1996 and then in 1997 moved to Turin side Torino.

Gianluca Comotto established himself at Torino somewhat but could manage only 96 league matches (and 4 goals) between 1997 and 2005. During his time at Torino, Commotto was loaned onto Vicenza, Fiorentina and Reggina.

He was released by Torino in the summer of 2005 and he signed a three-year contract with AS Roma. He was immediately loaned out to Ascoli for the 2005-2006 season and scored 4 goals in 31 league matches.

Gianluca Comotto then moved back to Torino on a dual-ownership in the summer of 2006 and the Turin club gained full rights over him in the summer of 2007. He was a regular for Torino in two seasons and captained the club in the 2007-2008 season.

Gianluca Comotto was signed by Fiorentina in the summer of 2008.
