Matthew Etherington

Matthew Etherington is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club West Ham United. He plays as a left sided or as a winger.

Matthew Etherington started his professional club football at Peterborough United in 1996 and played for them until 2000, featuring in 51 league matches and scoring 6 goals. In January 2000 he was signed by Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur for 500,000 pounds. He didn’t quite develop into the gem he was supposed to grow into as he scored one league goal and played only 45 Premier League matches in three matches.

Matthew Etherington was signed by West Ham United in 2003. He quickly developed to be a regular for the Hammers and has featured in over 158 league matches, both in the Championship and in the Premier League.
