Nick Colgan is a Republic of Ireland international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Sunderland. He plays as a goalkeeper.
Nick Colgan started his club career at little know Drogheda United in 1991 and after one season was signed by Chelsea. Although he was officially a Chelsea player until 1998, he could play only one league match for them in these six years and spent his time on loan at Crew Alexandra Grimsby Town, Millwall, Brentford and Reading,
He was signed by Bournemouth and after one season moved to Scottish club Hibernian where he became a regular for them and played until 2004. He was signed by Barnsley in England in 2004 and he made 101 league appearances for them until 2008 and after a short time with Ipswich Town signed for Sunderland in the summer of 2008.
