Player Profile and Personal Life

Serhou Yadaly Guirassy was born on March 12, 1996, in Arles, France. The Guinean striker stands 187 cm tall. Although born and raised in France, where he represented the country at various youth levels, he chose to represent Guinea at the senior level, honoring his parents' heritage.

He is known for his physical strength, aerial ability, and clinical finishing inside the box. His journey to the top was a gradual ascent, playing for several clubs across France and Germany before finding his explosive form in his late twenties.

Career

Guirassy began his professional journey at Laval before moving to Lille and then 1. FC Köln, where he won the 2 Bundesliga titles. After spells with Amiens and Rennes, his career reached new heights at VfB Stuttgart.

During the 2023–24 season, he set a club record by scoring 28 league goals, a performance that earned him a spot in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.

In 2024, Guirassy transferred to Borussia Dortmund. His debut season was historic; he scored 13 goals in the 2024–25 Champions League campaign, becoming the club's top scorer in a single season of the competition. His domestic form remained equally impressive, earning him his second consecutive Bundesliga Team of the Season inclusion and multiple Player of the Month awards.

Internationally, Guirassy has been a key figure for Guinea since his debut in 2022, leading the line for the "National Elephants" in major tournaments.
