Grant Leadbitter is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Sunderland. He plays as a midfielder.
Grant Leadbitter developed at the youth academy of West Ham and made his professional debut for the Hammers in a League Cup match against Huddlesfield Town in September 2003. He was loaned out to Rotherdam United in September 2005 and after his return to Upton Park, he started getting more playing time and gradually progressed to become a first team regular midfielder.
After Sunderland were relegated from the Premier League in 2006, there were rumours that Leadbitter might move onto a Premier League but he stayed on at the Stadium of Light and has been a regular for the Black Cats ever since.
