Kieran Edward Richardson is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Sunderland. He plays as a left-sided midfielder and is said to be a very promising player.
Kieran Richardson is a graduate of the youth system of the Premiership and European giants Manchester United and made his first team appearance for United against Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League on October 23,2002. He was subsequently drafted into the first team but his chances with the big boys were always limited. He could score 2 goals in 41 Premier League appearances for United but did feature in a number of FA Cup and League Cup matches.
In 2007 Kieran Richardson was signed by Sunderland for a reported 5.5 million pounds on a four-year contract.
Kieran Richardson made his international debut for England against the USA in 2005 and scored on his debut. He has gone onto play 7 more matches for his nation.
