Daniel Benjamin “Danny” Murphy is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League for Fulham. He plays as a midfielder but his best days were with Merseyside giants Liverpool.
Danny Murphy made his professional debut in club football for Crew Alexandra in 1993 and after four season and 27 league goals in 132 league appearances, he was signed by Liverpool in 1997.
Danny Murphy would go onto become a hugely successful player for Liverpool as he won the UEFA Cup, the FC Cup and the League Cup with the Anfield side. In the summer of 2004 after Rafael Benitez came into the managerial office, Murphy was sold off to Charlton Athletic. He had made 170 Premiership appearances and had scored 25 goals.

Danny Murphy was quite successful in the Charlton midfield in the two years that he played for the London side and in the summer of 2006 was signed by Tottenham Hotspur. However he lasted just one season at White Hart Lane and was offloaded to Fulham fin the summer of 2007. He did have a good season for Fulham in 2007-2008.
Danny Murphy made his Engalnd debut in 2001 and played 9 times for the Three Lions and scored 1 goal. His last England match came way back in 2003.
