Lewis Buxton is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Stoke City. He plays as a defender and can play either as a right-back or as a left-back.
Lewis Buxton rose through the youth ranks of south coast club Portsmouth and made his debut for the first team in 2000. He was officially a Pompey player until 2004 and made 30 league appearances although during that period he played (on loan) Exeter City and Bournemouth.
Lewis Buxton was signed by Stoke City in January 2005 and he has improved a lot since then. He has made more than 50 league matches for Stoke and is expected to come of age in the Premiership in the 2008-2009 season.
