Liam Lawrence is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Stoke City. He plays as a midfielder.
Liam Lawrence started his professional club football career at Mansfield Town in 1999 and played for them for five years, scoring 35 goals in 136 league matches. He established himself as a very solid midfielder and caught the eye of the then Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy. Sunderland signed him in 2004 and he featured for the Black Cats for three years, scoring 10 goals in 73 league matches.
Liam Lawrence was sent on loan to Stoke City in 2006-2007 and was signed on a permanent deal by Stoke City in January 2007 and has been a regular for the Potters since then, having featured in over 60 league matches.
