Matthew Simon “Matty” Taylor is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers. He plays as a left back or a left sided midfielder.
Matthew Taylor made his professional debut in club football for Luton Town in 1999 and played for them for the next three seasons until 2002 and quickly developed to be a star for Luton, scoring 16 goals in 129 hugely impressive league matches. He was awarded the Young Player of the Year award in the 1999-2000 season.
Matthew Taylor was signed by Portsmouth in the summer of 2002 for 750,000 pounds and played for them both in the first division and in the Premiership, playing a total of 23 goals in 178 league matches and showing his worth at left back and as a left sided midfielder.
