Jussi Albert Jaaskelainen is a Finnish international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers. He plays as a goalkeeper and is regarded as one of the best custodians in the Premier League.
Jussi Jaaskelainen started his professiona club football at Finnish side MP Mikkeli in 1992 and after two years became the club’s first choice custodian. Two years later in 1996 he moved to VPS Vaasa and was signed by Bolton Wanderers in 1997. Except the 2000-2001 season when Jussi Jaaskelainen actually missed most of the season due to injury he has been the club’s first choice, having featured in more than 350 league matches.
Jussi Jaaskelainen played his 300th match for Bolton Wanderers against Liverpool on January 1,2007.

Jussi Jaaskelainen made his international debut for Finland in 1998 and has featured in 44 matches for his nation so far. His first match for Finland was against Malta on March 25,1998 and after Antii Niemi’s retirement in 2005 is now the current number one for Finland.
