Ali Abdullah Harib Al Habsi is an Omani international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers. He plays as a goakeeper.
Ali Al Habsi started his professional club football career at Oman side Al-Midhaibi. He played for them between 1998 and 2002 and then played for one season for Al Nasr and was then signed by Norwegian side Lyn Oslo in 2003.
Ali Al Habsi was a regular for Lyn Oslo for two seasons and featured in 62 league matches. He was voted the Arab Goalkeeper of the Year and the Norwegian Goalkeeper of the Year in 2004.
Ali Al Habsi was signed by Bolton Wanderers in January 2006 but has been mainly spent his time on the substitutes’ bench. He played his first full match for Bolton in a 2-1 extra time Carling Cup victory over Fulham in September 2007. He made his first Premier League start against Wigan Athletic and has also played in the UEFA Cup for Bolton.
Ali Habsi made his international debut for Oman in 2002 and has featured 66 times for his nation so far.
