Francisco Conceicao

Francisco Fernandes da Conceição is a soccer player playing for FC Porto. He is Portugal international winger.

Club Career

Conceição spent most of his youth career with Sporting Lisbon, from 2011 to 2017, before finding his way to Porto in 2018, where his father Sergio was the manager.

In February 2021, he made his Porto first-team debut in the Derby da Invicta against rivals Boavista under his father. He settled into the first team in 2021-22 with 33 appearances.

In July 2022, he moved to Ajax, lured by a five-year contract. He was unable to establish himself as an Ajax first-team starter, thus returned to Portugal to Porto on a season-long loan in 2023.

In April 2023, he turned his Porto loan into a permanent stay on a five-year contract. Conceição himself had 16 score involvements, helping Porto win the Taca de Portugal.

International Career

Conceição played for Portugal at numerous under-age levels, before making his senior international debut in March 2024.

He was selected in Portugal's Euro 2024 squad and scored an injury-time winner in a 2-1 group stage victory over Czech Republic.
