Edward “Eddie” Johnson is an American international football player who features for the English Premier League club Fulham. He plays as a striker and is currently on loan to Championship side Cardiff City for the 2008-2009 season.
Eddie started his professional club career at FC Dallas in the US in 2001 and played 84 league matches between 2001 and 2006, scoring 24 goals in the process.
However in 2005 Eddie Johnson rejected a chance to move to Portugal to play for Portuguese superpower Benfica. Then in February 2006 Eddie Johnson was signed by MLS giants Kansas City Wizards and he played for them for two seasons, scoring 17 goals in 43 league matches. He rejected a move to Spanish club Real Sociedad in August 2006.

In January 2008 Fulham signed Eddie Johnson on a contract that runs until 2011. He featured in 6 Premier Legaue matches for Fulham in the 2007-2008 season but could not score any goal.
Johnson was loaned out to Cardiff City for the 2008-2009 season.
