Chris Baird

Christopher Patrick “Chris” Baird is a Northern Ireland football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Fulham. He plays as a defender.

Chris Baird developed at the youth academy of Southampton and made his first team debut on March 22,2003 against Aston Villa in the Premier League as a late substitute.

Baird played for the Saints for five reasons until 2007 and made a total of 68 league appearances and scored 3 goals. He was also loaned out first to Walsall and then to Watford in his tenure at Southampton. He was also the Saints Player of the Season in the 2006-2007 season.

Fulham signed Chris Baird in the summer of 2007 for just over 3 million pounds but has been unable to secure a regular starting berth for himself.

Chris Baird made his international debut for Northern Ireland in June 2003 against Italy in a match that the Ulsters lost 2-0. He has played 33 matches for his nation so far.
