Chris Smalling is a young England international football player who currently features for the English and European powerhouse Manchester United. He plays as a central defender and is rated as one of the better young players in England.

Smalling commenced his footballing career at Maidstone United and then moved to Fulham on a three-year deal in the summer of 2008. His impressive performances for the London club saw Manchester United come calling and sign him in January 2010.

Smalling remained at Fulham for the remainder of the 2009-10 campaign and since the end of that season has been with United ever since. His progress at Old Trafford has been impressive and he is rated as one of the more promising young players at the club, playing his part in the Red Devils’ Premier League-winning campaigns of 2010-11 and 2012-13.

Smalling made his international debut for England in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria on September 2, 2011. He is now a key player of the Three Lions squad.
