Josip Šutalo

Josip Šutalo is a soccer player playing for Ajax Amsterdam and Croatia. He is a centre-back.

Club Career

Sutalo spent time with Dinamo Zagreb in his youth career. He graduated to the first team in 2020, before a loan stint with Istra 1961.

Sutalo cemented himself as a first-team regular with Dinamo in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns, also leading to his international debut.

The defender helped Dinamo win Croatian Prva HNL titles in 2019-20, 2021-22 and 2022-23, before earning a 20 million euro move to Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam in August 2023.

International Career

Sutalo played for Croatia at most under-age levels, before making his senior international debut in 2022. He was part of Croatia's 2022 World Cup squad which came third, playing in the third-place playoff.
