Sergio Delgado

Sergio Matabuena Delgado is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish first division side Sporting de Gijon. He plays as a midfielder.

Sergio Delgado started his professional club career at Racing Santander in 2002 and played for them for five seasons. He scored 5 goals and made 71 league matches during that period.

In the summer of 2007 he moved to Sporting de Gijon and played a huge role in leading the club from the Spanish Segunda Division to La Liga at the end of the 2007-2008 season.
