Giorgi Mamardashvili is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Liverpool and the Georgia National Team.

Giorgi Mamardashvili was born on September 29, 2000, in Tbilisi, Georgia. The towering goalkeeper stands 197 cm (6 ft 6 in) tall. He is the son of Davit Mamardashvili, a former goalkeeper for WIT Georgia and Torpedo Kutaisi who later became a goalkeeping coach.

In his personal life, Mamardashvili began a relationship with model Elene Epitashvili in 2021. The couple married on July 18, 2024, and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Eni, in November 2024.

Career

Mamardashvili spent his formative years at Dinamo Tbilisi but gained his initial professional experience on loan at Erovnuli Liga clubs Rustavi and Locomotive Tbilisi.

His performances attracted the attention of Spanish side Valencia, where he moved in 2021. He quickly solidified his spot as the first-choice goalkeeper, earning praise for his reflexes and command of the box.

His impressive form in La Liga, which included being named to The Athletic's Team of the Season for 2023–24, led to a high-profile transfer to Premier League giants Liverpool in 2025.
