Artem Dovbyk

Artem Dovbyk is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Roma and the Ukraine National Team.

Artem Oleksandrovych Dovbyk was born on June 21, 1997, in Cherkasy, Ukraine.

The Ukrainian striker stands 189 cm (6 ft 2 in) tall. He is married to Yuliia Dovbyk, and the couple has a daughter.

Career

Dovbyk began his senior career with his hometown club Cherkaskyi Dnipro, where he helped the team win the Ukrainian Second League in the 2014–15 season. He subsequently moved to Dnipro, during which time he was loaned to Moldovan club Zaria Bălți, winning the Moldovan Cup in 2016.

His early promise was recognized when he was named the Ukrainian Premier League Best Young Player for the 2016–17 campaign.

In 2018, Dovbyk moved to Denmark to join Midtjylland. During his time there, he contributed to the club's Danish Superliga title in the 2017–18 season and the Danish Cup victory in 2018–19. He secured a second consecutive Danish Cup title the following season while on loan at Sønderjyske in 2019–20.

Dovbyk returned to Ukraine in 2020, joining Dnipro-1, where his goal-scoring form reached new heights. He became the league's dominant forward, winning the Ukrainian Premier League top scorer award twice consecutively in the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons. His performances also earned him multiple Player of the Month awards.

In the 2023–24 season, Dovbyk transferred to Girona in La Liga. He made an historic impact in Spain, winning the prestigious Pichichi Trophy as the league's top scorer with 24 goals. His exceptional debut season earned him a spot in the La Liga Team of the Season and the La Liga Player of the Month award for December 2023.

Following this success, he moved to Serie A club Roma in 2024, where he continued to perform at a high level, earning the Serie A Player of the Month award in March 2025.
