James Philip Milner is an England international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester City. He is a versatile footballer who can play as a forward, a midfielder and as a winger.

Milner started his professional club football career for Leeds United in 2002 and featured prominently for them for two seasons, scoring 5 goals in 48 league fixtures, despite playing on loan for Swindon Town in 2003.

Milner was signed by Newcastle United for 3,600,000 million pounds in 2004 and scored his debut goal for the Magpies against Middlesbrough in August 2004. He quickly became a star at St. James’ Park, although he played on loan at Aston Villa for the 2005-2006 season, scoring 1 goal in 27 Premier League matches.

He then returned to Newcastle and quickly established himself as a first-team regular. By the time he left the Geordies for Aston Villa in 2008, he had made 94 Premier League appearances for them, scoring six goals.

Milner continued to impress at Villa Park, scoring 11 goals in 73 league fixtures between 2008 and 2010, during which he earned the reputation of being one of England’s finest and promising young players.

In 2010 Milner joined City for a £24 million and quickly became one of the important players for the Citizens. He won the FA Cup with the Manchester outfit in 2011, and the Premier League and the FA Community Shield in 2012.

Milner made his international debut for England in 2009 and has played over 30 matches for the Three Lions. He features for his country at the 2010 World Cup finals and Euro 2012.
