Guglielmo Vicario is a soccer player playing for Tottenham Hotspur. He is an Italy international goalkeeper.
Club Career
Vicario came through at Udinese in his youth, but never debuted for the first time, having loan spells at Fontanafredda and Venezia in lower divisions.
In 2016, he signed permanently with Venezia having helped them earn promotion. He had a good loan spell with Perugia in 2019-20, before joining Cagliari in Serie A.

He was loaned to Empoli in the 2021-22 season where he was a regular, making the move permanent and producing two excellent campaigns.
In June 2023, English Premier League club Tottenham signed him on a five-year deal. He quickly became Spurs’ first choice keeper following Hugo Lloris’ exit. He impressed and was was nominated for Save of the Month in five consecutive months, from August to December 2023.
International Career
Vicario never played for Italy at youth level, but made his senior debut in 2024. However he had been called up in 2022 but didn’t play.
He got his Italy in March 2024, starting and keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Ecuador in a friendly. He was named in Italy’s provisional Euro 2024 squad.
