Sergino Dest is a soccer player playing for AC Milan on loan from FC Barcelona. He is a full-back and US international.
Dest was born in Almere, Netherlands, to a Surinamese-American father and Dutch mother. He played with Almere City in his youth and moved to Ajax in 2012 where he developed and eventually played for the first team in 2019. He won Ajax's Talent of the Year in 2020.
He left Ajax for Barcelona as a teenager in October 2020 for an initial 21 million euros, with 5 million euros in variables on a five-year deal. He played a limited role in 2021-22 and Barca opted to loan him out to Milan in September 2022 on a one-year deal with the option to buy.
He debuted for US in 2019 and has played many caps since, helping the side qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
