Tuncay Sanli is a Turkish international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Middlesbrough. He is a versatile footballer who can feature as a forward, left winger or right winger.
Tuncay Sanli started his career at Sakaryaspor in Turket in 2000 in the Turkish second division and played for them for two seasons, scoring 32 goals in 66 league matches. He was then signed by Turkish giants Fenerbahce in 2002 and played for the Istanbul powerhouse for five hugely successful years as he scored 59 goals in 154 league matches. In 2004 he became the first Turkish player ever to score a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League as he scored thrice in Fenerbahce’s 3-0 win over Manchester United.
Tuncay Sanli is currently the all time top scorer for Fenerbahce in Europe with 12 goals. He won the Turkish Super League in 2004,2005 and 2007.
