Luis Suárez is a professional football player from Uruguay. As of the 2022-2023 season, he plays for Nacional. In 2015, he was awarded the FIFA Club World Cup Golden Ball and the FIFA Club World Cup Golden Boot. In addition to his club career, he also plays for the Uruguay National Team and in 2002, he helped them win the Copa America.

Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz was born in Salto, Uruguay on January 24, 1987. His parents are Sandra and Rodolfo. His brother Paolo is also a retired football player. When he was seven Suarez and his family moved to Montevideo. He grew up playing basketball on the streets.
He married his long-time girlfriend Sofia Balbi in 2009. They have a daughter and two sons.

Playing Career
He started his youth career in 1991, playing for Artigas de Salto. In 1994, he started playing for Ufrreta and in 2001, he joined the youth division of Nacional. He debuted as a senior footballer in 2005 for Nacional. He only spent one season with Nacional before switching over to Groningen. He would return to Nacional in 2022.
After a season with his new club, he switch again, this time to Ajax. He made 110 appearances for the club, scoring 81 goals. In 2011, he signed to play with Liverpool. Then from 2014 to 2020, he played for Barcelona, making his most appearances for a club with 191 appearances and 147 goals.
In 2002, he signed with Atletico Madrid, and in 2022, he signed with Nacional again.
Concurrent with his club career, he also played for Uruguay, making appearances for their U20 and U23 teams, as well as for the senior team. He is still a part of the current National Team.
