Ross Turnbull is an English football player who currently features for the English and European giants Chelsea. He plays as a goalkeeper.
Turnbull developed through the club’s youth academy and signed a professional contract with Middlesbrough in 2002. He was subsequently loaned out to Darlington, Barnsley, Bradford City, Barnsley again, Crewe Alexandra and then Cardiff City. In July 2007 he signed a season-long loan deal with Cardiff. But in October 2007 he was recalled to the Middlesbrough set-up after an injury to second choice custodian Brad Jones.
Ross Turnbull was the third choice goalkeeper at the Riverside Stadium and moved to Chelsea in 2009. He has since struggled to play regularly for Chelsea, making just four appearances in the Premier League in over three years.
