Ritsu Doan is a soccer player playing for Japan and SC Freiburg. He is a midfielder/winger.
Doan spent his youth career with J League club Gamba Osaka where he made his first-team debut in 2015. He quickly moved to Europe as a teenager, joining Dutch club Groningen on loan. He scored nine goals in his debut season and was signed permanently.
In 2019, Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven signed Doan on a five-year deal. He was loaned to German club Arminia Bielefeld in the 2020-21 season but returned to PSV for another year where he netted 11 goals.

In July 2022, Bundesliga club Freiburg moved to sign him from PSV.
Doan has played for Japan, debuting in 2018 and netting in the side’s 2-1 World Cup win over Germany.
