He comes from a footballing family. His father, Vítor Manuel, was a former professional midfielder who played for clubs like Desportivo das Aves and was a Taça de Portugal finalist in 1999. Vitinha and his partner, Tatiana Torres, have two daughters as of 2025.

Career

Vitinha came through Porto's youth system, where he first tasted success by winning the UEFA Youth League in the 2018–19 season. He was promoted to the first team in 2020, contributing to Porto's Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal victories in the 2019–20 campaign.

Following a loan spell at Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020, he returned to Porto for the 2021–22 season. During this period, he established himself as an integral player, helping the club secure another domestic double of the Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal.
