Yoane Wissa is a French-born professional football player, for international events, he represents the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has been playing professionally since 2014 and as of the 2022-2023 season, he plays for Brentford.

Yoane Wissa was born on September 3, 1996 Épinay-sous-Sénart, France. He is of Congolese descent and he can speak Lingala. In addition to football, he also played Rugby when he was younger. In 2021, he was subject to an acid attack and had to have emergency eye surgery.
He started his youth career playing for his local club - Épinay-sous-Sénart. He played with the club from 2004 to 2010. Later, he moved to play for Linas-Montlhéry before returning to Épinay-sous-Sénart. He played his last season as a youth played for Châteauroux.

Senior Career
In 2014, he started playing for Châteauroux II. He made 20 appearances for the team before he was promoted to play for the main Châteauroux team in the 2015 to 2016 season. He made a total of 23 appearances for the Châteauroux senior team.
In 2016, Wissa signed with Angers. For a time in the 2016-2017 season, he was assigned to play for Angers II. While with the second team, he was loaned to Stade Laval. He was also loaned to Ajaccio.
In 2018, he signed with Lorient and played with them from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, he signed with the English football club, Brentford. As of the 2022-2023 season, he is still on Brentford’s roster.
