Steven John Reid is a Republic of Ireland international football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. He is a midfielder and played at the 2002 World Cup for his nation.

Steven Reid made his start in professional club football in 1997 for Millwall when he was just 17 years of age and was part of the successful 2000-2001 season that gained promotion to the English first division. He played for Millwall until the end of the 2002-2003 campaign and scored 19 goals in 158 league matches.

In the summer of 2003 Reid was signed by Blackburn Rovers for 1.85 million pounds and he continued his impressive stretch of form at Ewood Park, quickly becoming a regular and making more than 100 English Premier League matches, although he missed almost the entire of the 2006-2007 season due to injury.

Steven Reid represented England at youth levels but decided to play for Republic of Ireland at the senior level. He made his international debut in 2001 and has scored 2 goals in 20 matches for his nation so far. He played for his nation at the 2002 World Cup finals.
