Veljeany Christopher Samba is a Congolese football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. He is a defender.
Christopher Samba started his club career at French side Sedan(he was born in France) and p layed the 2003-2004 season for them, playing in 4 matches. He then went to German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin and 20 league matches between 2004 and 2007.
In January 2007 Blackburn Rovers signed Samba from Hertha Berlin in January 2007 for 400,000 pounds on a three and a half year deal. He has established himself as a first choice player for Blackburn and has penned a long term contract that keeps him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2012.
Christopher Samba made his international debut for Congo in 2004 and has played 20 matches for his nation so far.
