Didier Zokora

Alain Didier Zokora Deguy is an Ivory Coast international football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Tottenam Hotspur. He is a midfielder and is one of the best African players and is more or less a regular for Spurs.

Didier Zokora started his professional club football in 1999 for African giants ASEC Mimosas but did not make any league appearances.

In 2000 he went to play for Belgian side KRC Genk and featured regularly for four seasons, playing 126 league matches.

In 2004 he was signed by French side AS Saint-Etienne and he was again very much effective in the midfield in the French Ligue 1, playing 66 league matches in two season.

Spurs signed Zakora from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2006 for 8 million pounds. He was instantly an hit with the Spurs fans and is a regular for Spurs,playing regularly in their midfield.

Didier Zakora made his international debut for Ivory Coast in 2000 and has played more than 70 matches for his nation.
