Pedro Mendes is a Portuguese international football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Portsmouth. He is a midfielder and is renowned for his creativity and midfield marshalry.
Pedro Mendes made his professional debut for Portuguese club FC Felgueiras in 1998 and was signed by Vitoria Guimaraes one season later. After four impressive seasons he was signed by Portuguese giants FC Porto in the summer of 2003 and won the Portuguese Super Liga and the UEFA Champions League in the 2003-2004 season.
In the summer of 2004 Mendes was signed by English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur but after failing to impress at White Hart Lane he was signed by Portsmouth in January 2006.
At Fratton Park Mended rediscovered his old sorcery and has been a regular player for Pompey, as he thrilled Fratton Park with his skills and consistency.
Pedro Mendes made his international debut for Portugal in November 2002 against Scotland and has played one more match for his nation since then.
