Club Career
Rome-born Scamacca spent time with Lazio and Roma in his youth, along with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. He moved back to Italy in 2017 to join Sassuolo where, after a handful of loan spells including with Ascoli and Genoa, he had a strong 2021-22 season, netting 16 goals in 36 Serie A games.He was capped by Italy in September 2021 and in July 2022 he moved to England to join West Ham United on a five-year deal worth approximately 30.5 million pounds.
Scamacca only spent one season at West Ham, netting eight goals in 27 games, and helping the Hammers win the UEFA Conference League before joining Atalanta on a permanent deal in August 2023 for a reported 22.5 million pounds with add-ons.
