Federico Chiesa is a soccer player playing for Liverpool. He is an Italy international who plays winger and forward.
He is the son of former Fiorentina, Parma and Italy international striker Enrico Chiesa.
Club Career
Chiesa was born in Genoa but began his youth career with Fiorentina. In the opening weekend of the 2016-17 season, he debuted for Fiorentina. He played 34 times that season, scoring four goals.

He made more than 150 appearances across four seasons for Fiorentina but in October 2020 signed a two-year loan move to join Juventus. He quickly settled at the Bianconeri, playing in the UEFA Champions League.
Chiesa marked his establishment at Juventus with the match-winning goal in the 2021 Coppa Italia final as they beat Atalanta 2-1. In 2020-21 he was also named in the Serie A Team of the Year for the first time.
In January 2022, he suffered a season-ending ACL injury in a game against AS Roma, sidelining him until November 2022.
After scoring nine goals for Juve in the 2023-24 Serie A season and helping them lift the Coppa Italia again, he opted to move to England to join Liverpool in August 2024 for 10 million pounds.
International Career
Chiesa graduated through Italy’s youth levels, before debuting at senior level in 2018.
He was named in the UEFA European Championships Team of the Tournament when Italy won Euro 2020. Chiesa had an excellent tournament, scoring goals in knockout games against Austria and Spain, the latter in the semi-finals when he was named Player of the Match.
