Lucas Torreira Di Pascua is a soccer player playing for Galatasaray.
He is Uruguay international who plays as a midfielder. After spending time with Montevideo Wanderers in his youth, he moved to Italy with Pescara. He earned a move to Sampdoria in 2014, but was loaned back to Pescara.
Torreira broke into the Sampdoria first team in 2016-17 and impressed again in 2017-18, prompting a move by Arsenal to sign him for 26 million pounds in July 2018. He enjoyed a decent debut season in the Premier League. In March 2020 he suffered an ankle injury and was used sparingly after that. In October 2020, he was subsequently loaned to Atletico Madrid for the 2020-21 season.
In the 2021-22 season, he was loaned out again to Fiorentina and enjoyed a good season in Serie A, prompting interest from the club for a permanent deal. However in August 2022 he was signed by Turkish club Galatasaray on a four-year deal for six million euros.
