Achraf Hakimi Mouh was born on November 4, 1998, in Madrid, Spain. The Moroccan defender stands 1.81 m (5 ft 11 in) tall.

A devout Muslim, he has performed the Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca on multiple occasions. He is multilingual, fluent in Spanish, Darija, French, and English. In recognition of his achievements, a football stadium in his parents' hometown of Ksar el-Kebir was named in his honor following the 2022 World Cup.

Career

Hakimi developed his skills at Real Madrid's academy, eventually breaking into the first team in 2017.

To gain further experience, he spent two seasons on loan in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, where he lifted the DFL-Supercup in 2019. He then moved to Serie A with Inter Milan, playing a crucial role in securing the club's first league title in over a decade during the 2020–21 campaign.

In 2021, Paris Saint-Germain acquired his services for a reported €68 million. His time in France has been highly successful, yielding multiple Ligue 1 titles.
