Victor Anichebe is a Nigerian football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Everton. He plays as a striker and is rated as one of the best players in his position in England.
Anichebe was born in the Nigerian city of Lagos and moved to the English city of Liverpool when he was an infant and progressed at the youth academy of Everton. He made his senior debut for the Blues in 2006 after signing a two-year contract and quickly impressed everyone at the club to garner more playing time.
In May 2007 he signed a new contract at Everton that took him until the summer of 2011 and thereafter signed another contract extension. He has played in over 120 Premier League matches for the Toffees, but has failed to score even more than 20 goals.
Anichebe made his international debut for Nigeria in 2008 and has played 11 matches for his country so far, scoring one goal in the process.
