Fabio Aurelio Rodriguez is a Brazilian footballer who currently features for the English premier League side Liverpool. He is a versatile player who can play as a left back or a left sided midfielder and is renowned for his crosses and free-kicks. He is the first Brazilian to play for Liverpool.
Aurelio came through the youth ranks at Brazilian giants Sao Paulo and made his professional debut in 1997. He played for them for three years and in 2000 after making 52 league appearances and scoring three goals.
Aurelio was transferred to Valencia in 2000 on a six-year contract. He was not a first choice by any means at Valencia and managed to make just 95 league appearances for Los Che in six years and scored 10 goals. He did win La Liga twice and the UEFA Cup once with Valencia though.
