Federico Dimarco is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a left wing-back for Serie A club Inter Milan and the Italy National Team.

Federico Dimarco was born on November 10, 1997, in Milan, Italy. The Italian defender stands 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in) tall. A lifelong supporter of the club he plays for, he grew up within the Inter Milan Academy System .

Athletic talent runs in the family, as his younger brother, Christian, also competes as a professional footballer.

Career

Dimarco is a product of Inter Milan's Youth Academy, making his senior debut for the club in 2014. To gain experience, he spent time on loan at Ascoli and Empoli before a permanent move to Swiss side Sion in 2017.

Inter exercised their buy-back option the following year, though he was subsequently loaned to Parma and Hellas Verona to further his development. It was during his spell at Verona where he truly flourished, scoring five goals and earning a recall to the Inter first team.

Upon establishing himself as a regular starter for the Nerazzurri, Dimarco became a key figure in the club's recent success. He lifted the Coppa Italia in back-to-back seasons (2021–22, 2022–23) and won three consecutive Supercoppa Italiana titles. His breakout on the European stage occurred during the 2022–23 campaign, where his performances helped Inter reach the UEFA Champions League final, earning him a spot in the competition's Team of the Season despite the team's runner-up finish.

Dimarco's influence continued to grow, culminating in a historic 2023–24 season where he helped Inter Milan secure the Serie A title.
