Gabriel Fernandez Arena, nicknamed as Gabi, is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Atletico Madrid. He plays as a holding midfielder.
Gabi rose through the youth ranks at Atletico Madrid and made his debut for the Rojiblancos in the 2003-2004 season. He was loaned out to Madrid side Getafe for the 2004-2005 and was recalled to Atletico in the summer of 2005.
Gabi would feature for Atleti in two more seasons and in May 2007 signed for Real Zaragoza for 9 million euros. He was a regular for Zaragoza in his first season at La Romareda and rejoined Atletico in 2011.
