Aleksandar Mitrović

Aleksandar Mitrović is a Serbian professional footballer. As of the 2025 season, he plays as a striker for the Qatar Stars League club Al Rayyan and the Serbia National Team.

Player Profile and Early Career

Aleksandar Mitrović was born on September 16, 1994, in Smederevo, Serbia. The Serbian striker stands 189 cm tall.

At the age of 18, he was named among the top 10 talents under the age of 19 in Europe by a selection of UEFA reporters.

Career

Mitrović turned professional after a loan at Teleoptik and became a regular at Partizan, winning the Serbian SuperLiga in his first season. He then joined Anderlecht for a club record fee, where he won the Belgian Pro League and finished as the league's top scorer in his second campaign.

In 2015, he moved to Newcastle United before joining Fulham, initially on loan. He helped Fulham achieve promotion to the Premier League and scored over 100 goals across his six seasons at the club.

After a spell with Al Hilal, he joined Al Rayyan in 2025.

At the international level, Mitrović helped Serbia win the 2013 European Under-19 Championship, being voted the best player of the tournament. He has since earned over 100 caps for the senior team, representing Serbia at the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup, as well as UEFA Euro 2024.
