Welington Robson Pena de Oliveira, commonly known simply as Welingtonm is a Brazilian football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Malaga, He is a defender and plays at centre-back.
Welington commenced his career at FC Olimpia in 1997 and after playing for Campinense, Jalesense and Barretos, he landed at Parana in 2002. A season later he moved to Penafield in 2003 and after three years was signed by Swiss club Grasshoppers.
Welington played on loan for Malaga in the 2007-08 season and after impressing the Malaga club officials, he was signed on a permanent contract in 2008. He has since developed to be an important player for the Andalucian club, scoring six goals in over 120 league appearances so far.
