Pablo Zabaleta is an Argentina international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester City. He is a versatile player who can feature as a right-back or as a midfielder.

Zabaleta commenced his career at San Lorenzo in 2002 after progressing through the club’s youth academy. In the summer of 2005 he was signed by Espanyol for 3 million euros after making 66 league appearances.

Zabaleta soon became a regular at Espanyol, and scored three goals in 80 La Liga appearances between 2005 and 2008 for the Barcelona outfit. He won the Copa del Rey with them in 2006 and finished runners-up in the UEFA Cup a year later.

In 2008 Manchester CIty signed Zabaleta and he soon became a fan favourites and an instant hit for the Citizens. He has made over 100 Premier League appearances for the Manchester outfit, winning the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League in 2012.

Zabaleta won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2005 as captain with Argentina and made his debut for the senior side the same year. He won the Olympics in 2008.
