Eric Dier is a soccer player playing on loan for Bayern Munich, from Tottenham Hotspur. He is an England international defender/midfielder.
Club Career
Dier was born in Cheltenham in south-west England but grew up in Portugal, getting his taste of youth football at Lisbon club Sporting CP.
After a loan spell to Everton in England in 2011, he made his first-team debut for Sporting in 2012.

In 2014, Tottenham signed Dier for 4 million pounds. He has since gone on to make more than 250 appearances for Spurs, helping them reach the 2019 UEFA Champions League final and two EFL Cup finals, but lost all three.
Dier fell out of starting favour in the 2023-24 campaign under Ange Postecoglou and joined Bayern in January 2024 on a six-month loan contract, with the option of a one-year extension.
On March 1, Dier activated a clause to make his contract with Bayern permanent at the end of June 2024.
International Career
Dier played for England at youth level at various age groups. He played at the 2013 Under-20 World Cup.
He debuted for England at senior international level in 2015 against Spain. He was part of England’s squads for Euro 2016, 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
