Marcelo Brozović is a soccer player playing for Saudi club Al Nassr and the Croatia National Football Team.

Club career

Zagreb-born Brozovic originally played for Hrvatski Dragovoljac in his homeland in his junior career, making his first-team debut in 2010. He moved to Lokomotiva Zagreb in 2011, before being signed by Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb in 2012 on a seven-year deal.

Brozovic impressed at Dinamo, playing 99 times and scoring 13 goals, and was signed by Inter Milan originally on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal in January 2015 but that stay became permanent. Brozovic played for Inter from 2015 to 2023, making 330 appearances and scoring 31 goals and winning two league titles in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

At Inter Milan, Brozovic won awards like the 2021-22 Serie A Best Midfielder and being named in the 2021-22 Serie A Team of the Year. He was part of the Inter side that won the Serie A in 2020-21, and named in the Europa League Squad of the Season in 2019-20 when they lost the final to Sevilla.

He was also part of the Inter side that were UEFA Champions League runners-up to Manchester City in 2022-23.

He moved to Saudi club Al Nassr in July 2023 for 18 million euros.

International career

Brozovic debuted for Croatia in 2014 and is closing in on 100 appearances for his country. He was named in Croatia’s 2014 World Cup squad, playing against Brazil.

He has since established himself as a regular for Croatia, playing at Euro 2016, as well as the 2018 World Cup when Croatia were runners-up. He was also part of Croatia’s squads at the postponed Euro 2020 and 2022 World Cup.
